The farm shop will be open Monday-Saturday 9am – 6pm from the end of May throughout the summer selling our home-grown fresh picked strawberries and raspberries

April/May 2013

Next fresh meat

Fresh pork, sausages and bacon will be available Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th May

The next beef will be towards the end of May, dates to be confirmed

Frozen meat

We do have a few sausages and joints of pork and beef in the freezer so please pop in or contact us if you’d like to know what we frozen meat we have available

A recent litter, the mum was born on the farm and this is her first litter, her sister had her first litter two nights later in the pen next door!

 Lambing update

All 24 of our ewes have now lambed and we have 47 healthy happy lambs. We aim to start selling ‘Swavesey lamb’ from the end of May, we’ll confirm dates a bit nearer the time.

March/April 2013

Our first lambs of the year were born on the farm on Friday 15th March. As of 20th March we have got 9 healthy lambs from 5 of our 25 ewes. Lots more to come hopefully!

Next fresh beef, pork and sausages

Our next fresh beef, pork and sausages will be available Friday 12th and Saturday 13th April. Please send orders through as soon as possible if you require specific cuts as the most popular ones do usually sell out well in advance.

Frozen meat

We do have a selection of pork, sausages and stewing beef in the freezer available when we are not selling fresh meat, please email or call in if you’d like to know exactly what we’ve got.

 

February/March 2013

Fresh beef will be available Friday 15th and Saturday 16th March

Fresh pork and sausages will be available Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd March

If there are any specific orders/cuts of beef or pork you would like in March please let us know as soon as possible. All the usual cuts will be available and we plan to make more of our very popular 100% beef burgers

January/February 2013

Our first beef and pork of 2013 will be available from the butchery on the following dates:

– Pork       Thursday 31st Jan to Saturday 2nd Feb

Beef       Thursday 7th Feb to Saturday 9th Feb  

As usual if you’d like specific cuts please contact us so that we can keep them for you.

We have a small amount of frozen beef, pork and sausages which are available when we are not open for fresh meat. Again if there is anything specific you’d like please contact us and we can let you know what we have in stock.

November 2012 – fresh pork, lamb and beef

We will be selling the following fresh meat during November:

– Fresh lamb, pork, sausages and bacon – Thursday 1st November – Saturday 3rd November.

– Fresh beef – Thursday 15th November – Saturday 17th November

We have got a selection of pork and all of our sausage flavours available in the freezer, please feel free to call in and ask at the house anytime in-between the above dates for frozen meat.

**NEW – half pigs**

We are also now able to offer a discounted price (£6.00/kg) on half a pig, fully butchered, including approx 50-60 sausages, bacon, legs of pork, belly joints/strips, pork chops, loin joints and shoulder joints. Please contact us if you would like to stock  up your freezer and take advantage of this and we will butcher your half pig so that you get exactly what you want, e.g. what flavour you’d like your sausages and whether you’d like the loin as chops, joints or some of each!

 

October 2012 – Fresh pork and lamb

We will be selling fresh lamb, pork, sausages, bacon and gammons Thursday 11th, Friday 12th and Saturday 13th October.

 

September & October 2012 – Fresh pork, lamb & beef

We plan to be selling fresh lamb, pork, sausages and beef from our butchery during September and October as follows:

– 20th, 21st, 22nd September   –   Fresh lamb, pork, sausages, bacon and gammons

– 4th, 5th, 6th October   –   Fresh beef

As usual there will also be small quantities of frozen meat and sausages available whenever we are open.

August 2012 – Fresh beef and fruit

We will be selling more of our own fresh beef from the butchery Thursday 30th August – Saturday 1st September, please e-mail us orders as usual as our beef usually sells out very quickly.

From mid-August into September we will be selling our own freshly picked Victoria plums from the farm shop, followed by the blue plum Majories’ Seedling. Strawberries should be available well into the Autumn as usual.
